Think of your favorite book as a child, the one that most captured your imagination from page one.  Did that exercise make you smile?

A child born into poverty would most likely be unable to complete such an exercise because most have never owned a book, and many do not have access to books to read on a regular basis. With your help, we will provide school-aged children in Jamaica the opportunity to experience a variety of genres and culturally relevant books, including fiction, folk tales, world classics, and poetry.  Students will build their vocabulary, and reading skills while developing their self-confidence.
